Your Company’s Approach to Healthcare:
We support hospitals to meet the nutritional needs of patients with a range of dietitian-approved cakes, including snacks, desserts, puddings and meal replacement solutions.
Working in partnership with dietitians, our expert developers have spent time in hospitals to understand patients’ needs and create cakes that provide good, tasty nutrition, reduce operational complexity, and increase flexibility to best meet hospital requirements.
We have a reputation for innovation and quality, combined with a heritage of manufacturing excellence and have built close relationships with hospital trusts to ensure we are creating cakes that meet the most pressing patient nutritional needs.
Impact of Your Products/Services on Healthcare:
We believe that nutrition is only nutrition if it’s eaten, and that’s why we have developed a range of exceptional cakes in delicious flavours that meet nutritional targets and provide the perfect pick-me-up for patients.
Developed by our expert bakers in partnership with healthcare dietitians, our range of patient cakes has been developed to meet the complex dietary and service needs of the healthcare setting.
We make a difference in the healthcare industry by:

Helping remove the stigma around hospital food
Enhancing the patient experience
Reducing food waste with sweet treats patients enjoy
Supporting ‘Healthy Lives, Healthy People’
The impact of the difference we have made is noted by Nicholas Lee, Production and Development Chef at the University Hospitals of Leicester:
“The close working relationship I have with Queensland has helped both parties achieve their common goals of achieving staff, patient and visitor satisfaction.”

Future Direction:
We’re continuing to invest in improving patients’ experiences and are working closely with hospital trusts to understand and develop innovative new cakes for specialised diets. At the same time, we’re working on making it easier for dietitians and catering managers to ensure their patients’ needs are met.
We’ve spent time at many trusts to understand the needs of different patients, from those recovering from renal surgery to those undergoing cancer treatment. We are currently in the R&D phase of developing cakes for the specialised dietary requirements of different groups of patients to meet their nutritional needs.
For dietitians and catering managers, we know that their valuable time should be utilised by helping patients and so we’re developing a new online system to make it quicker and easier for them to order what they need.
