Approach to Healthcare

At Arla Foods, we believe nutritious food plays an important role in supporting everyday wellbeing. We're committed to producing high-quality dairy products that help healthcare providers and catering teams offer convenient, nutritious food and drink options for staff and visitors. Through product innovation and collaboration, we aim to make it easier for people to make good food choices throughout the day.

Impact of Products/Services on Healthcare

Healthcare environments need food and drink options that are both nutritious and convenient. Our range includes dairy products in formats that are ideal for busy settings, particularly for breakfast and on-the-go occasions, helping healthcare catering teams offer accessible, great-tasting choices for staff and visitors throughout the day.

Innovation

One of our latest initiatives is Plate of the Nation, developed in collaboration with the British Nutrition Foundation. The report explores the UK's growing nutrition gap - where many people consume enough calories but miss out on the essential nutrients needed for good health - and highlights the everyday barriers to healthy eating.

By identifying these challenges, Plate of the Nation aims to drive informed discussion and encourage collaborative action to improve access to nutritious food across the UK.

Future Direction

Plate of the Nation is not just about understanding the UK's nutrition gap - it's about helping to drive meaningful change. Through this long-term initiative, Arla is committed to contributing to a healthier food system by supporting informed food choices and improving access to nutritious food.

We recognise that closing the nutrition gap requires collective action. That's why we're committed to working alongside partners across the wider food system, while tracking and reporting on our progress. By returning to the same questions each year, we'll measure what is changing, identify where further action is needed, and hold ourselves accountable for playing our part in creating a healthier Britain.
